Multiple trekking trails from easy to advanced, can be experienced at both Kailas and Pullala estate. We also encourage to explore other public trekking opportunities conducted by the forest department.

BIRDWATCHING

Being a birdwatcher’s paradise, the Great Indian Hornbill, Great Pied Hornbill, Nilgiri Flycatcher, Pipit, Laughing Thrush, great Black Woodpecker and oriental Broad-billed Roller add colour to the verdant green locale. Hornbill season – September to March

WILDLIFE

Nelliyampathy known for its dense and diverse wildlife inhabitants, most common sightings include Indian Gaur, Samba Deer, Mouse deer, Indian elephant and if your luck is right you might see the Royal Bengal tiger, leopards, bear and much more. Mountain squirrel, Nilgiri langur, Lion tailed macaque are very common sightings inside Kailas Estate.

Pullala Estate Visit

Pullala Estate is the second largest coffee producer in Nelliyampathy where you can learn about coffee growing, harvesting and processing.
